Equitable Futures Collective
Building the relationships, leadership, and imagination needed for a more equitable Richmond.
The Equitable Futures Collective (EFC) is a nine-month leadership cohort that brings together LGBTQ+ community members, advocates, artists, nonprofit professionals, educators, and organizers to learn from one another while building the skills, relationships, and trust needed to create lasting social change.
Rather than relying on lectures or traditional professional development, EFC centers the lived experience and expertise already present within our community. Participants engage in facilitated dialogue, collaborative learning, and practical leadership development that can be applied immediately within their organizations and communities.
Why Now?
Our communities are navigating increasing political polarization, social isolation, and attacks on LGBTQ+ rights. At the same time, many leaders are experiencing burnout while working to meet growing community needs.
The Equitable Futures Collective creates intentional space to pause, reflect, learn together, and build the relationships that make long-term movement work possible.
