Diversity Richmond has volunteer opportunities suited for small groups of 2-10 people at a time to support our thrift store, event spaces and property beautification operations. These opportunities are great for corporate groups, social groups, friends or families who want to give back to the LGBTQ community, especially during Pride Month in June.

Volunteers are needed to assist our staff with hanging clothing, placing merchandise, general cleaning and organizing. Most tasks take 1-3 hours and require walking, standing and reaching. Some tasks may require lifting up to 30 pounds.

Event Space Support
Volunteers are needed to assist our event staff with painting, supply cleaning and organization, deep cleaning of event spaces and general handiwork. Tasks take 2-6 hours and are best suited to be performed on weekends
Volunteer hours are available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in June from 10 am-5 pm. These tasks are more labor-intensive and require walking, standing, reaching, lifting and the ability to work in spaces that are not air-conditioned.

Property Beautification
Volunteers are needed to assist with landscaping, mowing, weed-eating, surface cleaning, trash collection, window washing and planting round the exterior of our building. These tasks take 2-6 hours and are best suited for weekends.
Volunteer hours are available Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in June from 10am-5pm. These tasks are labor-intensive and require walking, standing, reaching, lifting, bending and the ability to work outside.
